Set Hazard Placards

When you associate hazards with an entity, such as an order, an order item, or a unit, you can also add hazard placards for the individual hazards.

Hazard placards are defined as reference data in N4; you can only associate hazard placards that exist at the current scope level. To define a new hazard placard, see Hazard Placards view.

To update a hazard placard:

  1. Add a hazard (on page 1) or select an existing hazard that is listed in the Hazardous Cargo Items area.

N4 displays the details of the selected hazard in the Item Details area.

  1. Click Set...

  2. Use the Placards form (on page 1) to include or exclude hazard placards for the selected hazard.

  3. Click OK to add the included placards. If you click Cancel on this form, N4 discards your changes and closes the window.

N4 displays the included placards on the Set button, as follows:

  1. Click Save.

If you click Cancel or Close, N4 displays a dialog box warning you that edits will be lost. The message includes up to 20 characters of changes for each of up to four fields, listed by label. Click Yes to discard changes and close the form. Click No to return to the form and edit more fields or save your changes. System changes do not appear in the warning list. To disable this warning, see How do I disable the Edits Will Be Lost dialog?
